When you stay at the Flaming Gorge Resort, your possibilities are endless for Summer Activities!
On the property, we have horseshoes, a sandpit, a basketball court, and volleyball. You can also bring your own yard games and enjoy them on any of our open grassy areas. Or bring your camp chairs, and enjoy an evening under the stars, huddled around our community firepit located in the Flaming Gorge Meadows.
Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area is a popular water sports area. Come and enjoy slicing through glassy water on your skis, wakeboard, surfing, or water tube through the magnificent cliffs of Flaming Gorge. The water temperature is nice and cool, making the reservoir a great place to cool off during the summer.
Another great way to experience the beautiful Flaming Gorge is by taking a nice canoe, kayak, or paddleboard. If you want to paddle between narrow 1000-foot deep canyons or wide-open areas with beautiful scenery, then this is the place for you.
We rent one or two-person kayaks and paddleboards that make floating on the Flaming Gorge Reservoir or down the Green River exciting!
If you want to sit and relax on the beach, there are two designated swim beaches for public use on Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Sunny Cove swim beach is located near Mustang Ridge Campground north of the Dam. Lucerne Swim Beach is located one mile west of Lucerne Campground, in Manila.
